Red Means GoSaturday, September 26th — Rhythms Stage — 7:30 PM
In the fall of 2007, Jazmarae Beebe and Skyler Mehal met while living in the same dorm at Central Washington University. After hearing each other's music they decided to try playing together; the beginning of what would become Red Means Go. Their singing/songwriting duo had a unique sound of jazz, pop, and indie rock which created a perfect blend of Jaz's piano, Skyler's guitar, and their unique voices. They quickly gained a following among the students at Central and looked to expand their sound. Tom Noble met the band in a songwriting club and became their powerhouse drummer. After going through a few bass players, Janss Woldseth officially joined the group in the fall of 2008. Red Means Go's already established new sound had gained a whole new element, which was further increased with the final addition of Markus Hoyer's rhythm guitar and wailing vocals. Soon after Markus joined, the band went into the studio to create a record with all of the energy and creativity they had been sharing around the state. This eponymous work was released in July of 2009, and as the band name suggests, there's no stop in sight. The band already has a wealth of new material to mix in as they promote their album throughout the Northwest.
